Our Profile
As a co-founder of ZBN Group, has been on the Board as Group Chief Executive Officer since incorporated 27 November 2014. He has wide and varied organisational experience in commercial and business development and his exposure to many other industries have enabled him to lead the Board and company as is it today.
Zulnizar lead the group with his entrepreneurial vision and strategic leadership skills, he is focused on growing the core businesses of the Group, leveraging on the differentiated strengths of its talent pool. The strategies for the Group have resulted in a sustained period of growth in revenues and earnings in each of its core businesses.
The growth of the Group has also been led by consistent and continuous innovation, the latest being significant investment construction technology as well as aquaculture production businesses. Group-wide, processes and systems are being placed on a common technological platform to ensure future competitiveness.
He is responsible for ZBN Group’s overall strategy, mergers & acquisitions, group business development and investor relations, as well as the Group’s communications and technology functions. Syarezan Samat joined the ZBN Group as Board of Director and Chief Strategy Officer in 2015. He was previously the has participate various field as managing director various company.
He is respectively as Town Planner by profession and obtaining the Bachelor of Town & Regional Planning in local university which Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia. With town planner perspective have support the group strategies in business development & expansion.
Benjamin Lee Min Foo is the Chief Financial Officer of ZBN Group Holdings Sdn Bhd since June 2020. His current responsibilities include finance, treasury, tax, legal, compliance and risk management.
Benjamin began his career with Ernst & Young where he was involved in auditing, financial due diligence and reporting accounting work for listing exercises and mergers and acquisitions before venturing as head of finance and Financial Controllers in other industries including property development, construction, transportation, hospitality, engineering maintenance and timber plantation.
Benjamin is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He is currently the Immediate Past President of ACCA Sabah, where he served as the President from 2015 – 2021. He is also the current ACCA Network Chairman for Sabah, since 2015.
Dato' Ir. Hj. Shafie Mat Zain is currently serving ZBN Group Holdings Sdn. Bhd. as Chief Technology Officer since 1st January 2021.
He had served Tenaga Nasional Bhd. in various capacities for over 36 years, as Electrical Engineer (System Protection), General Manager (System Operation), Managing Director of TNB Engineers (Major Projects and System Development), and Vice President (Transmission Division and Corporate Services). Prior to the year 2000, Dato' Ir. Hj. Shafie was entrusted with a key responsibility as Chairman of the National Energy Sector (Headquarters at TNB), ensuring that TNB's electricity supply to the Nation remained uninterrupted throughout the millennium.
He had also provided services as a Freelance Quality Auditor and Product Quality Inspector for Product Acceptance to TNB (accredited by TNB Labs Sdn Bhd)
Dato' Ir. Hj. Shafie had gained international experience via his work as a Power System Consultant for the Energy Ministry of Bangladesh (Bangladesh Power Development Board), where he specialised in finding solutions to power outages, blackouts, and inadequate electrical generation.
As a registered Professional Engineer with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia, a Competent Electrical Engineer (All voltages, commissioned by EC, Malaysia he is equipped to service the electrical and mechanical sector of the industry. He too had attended the SMDP (Harvard Business School 1998) and AMP (Harvard Business School, Boston US 2001).
